Big B Calls Hrithik’s performance mindblowing
The compliments are still pouring in for Hrithik Roshan ever since Jodhaa-Akbar hit theatres on Friday. But the one compliment Hrithik says he will treasure forever came from the film’s leading lady Aishwarya Rai’s father-in-law, Amitabh Bachchan.
On seeing Hrithik’s trance dance during the qawaali Khwaja Mere Khwaja, Amitabh Bachchan observed that not since Stanley Kubrick’s legendary sci-fi 2001: A Space Odyssey has there been such an apocalyptic moment on film!
“That compliment just blew my mind,” says Hrithik emotionally.

“Doing Jodhaa-Akbar wasn’t easy for me. That dance in a trance was especially difficult.
When Ashutosh Gowariker explained the situation I just didn’t know how to go about it! In that moment of spiritual ecstacy what does my character experience? I was completely puzzled.”
Mind-blowing
Hrithik adds, “Then I was told that it was a moment when Akbar connects with divinity. I joined the qawaali singers to dance with one hand pointing towards heaven which was receiving the divine gift, while my other hand pointed to the ground which meant I was connecting the gift received from divinity to people down below. I was the medium, the recipient of divine communication.”

Hrithik you should be very proud of your accomplishment in this movie! I cannot speak or understand Hindi or any Indian languages and depend on English subtitles, however when I first saw this movie I forgot to read the subtitles and just followed the story via the emoting of both Ash & Hrithik and guess what - I enjoyed it so much I had to go back to see it again the next day! I am physically challenged and sitting for more than a hour at a time is difficult for me but I not only sat thru the entire movie and had to see it again and if my health permits I will go back next week-end as well! (In Canada we did not get an intermisson during the movie) Congratulations Hrithik on another fabulous performance! You are not only a terrific actor you are a MOVIESTAR! You make me very proud to be able to make some claim on having an Indian hertiage!

Your performance has really shown the intensity you put in as an actor, we all are proud of you. I wish you more success to come in life from everything you do. Acting is part of art and you have connected both in a very devine way. According to my husband perfection is never acheived but I must say you are close. To maintain the good work is my sincere wish. You make all Indians proud worldwide. I was overwelmed with the dance movement you had in the song,as I was thinking its you in the movie and no dance how can that be possible, but your few moves in circle did the justification for you as the best dancer. it was really mindblowing.

The entire movie is belongs to Akbar (Hrithik) with out a doubt.U can’t understand for a moment that wt actually u r watching? Movie or real fact?. Must see film.

Hrithik’s acting in the movie was so natural that i felt i wa watching real Akbar on screen, congrates Hrithik great job. May you get another filmfare for this. best of luck
