‘Hrithik’s rendition of Akbar reminded me of Salim’ -Dilip Kumar

This could well be Hirithik Roshan's best compliment till date. A special screening of Jodhaa Akbar was organised by Ashutosh Gowariker at Yash Raj studio for family and friends of Dilip Kumar and Saira Banu.

The veteran actor was invited to the premier of the film but could not attend it due to ill-health. The screening, held on Wednesday, turned out to be a walk down memory lane for Dilip Kumar, who is still loved and revered for his role as Salim in the epic classic Mughal-E-Azam.

A source, present at the screening narrates, "Asuthosh, who is a big fan of Dilip saab, wanted his feedback, and so he organised this screening. Saawariya was the last film the veteran had seen. After the screening, he embraced Ashutosh and praised him for his effort."

Apparently, the actor was also all praises for Hrithik, as was his wife, Saira Banu. Reportedly, he told Ashutosh that Hrithik's rendition of Akbar reminded him of his Salim. Now if that is not a superlative, what is!

  1. Jodhaa Akbar was a really good movie. But its not for kids, because they wouldn’t understand it and probably fall asleep. I personally think it’s my man Hrithik’s best performance, even better than Dhoom 2 and Koi Mil Gaya.

  2. of course, rida

  3. rocking performances and dialogues

  4. Lately I have been trying to find any kind of information for my project, but unsuccessfully. Now it seems like I finally found a lot. This is the greatest site among all internet-sources.
