Hrithik says No to SLB
Sanjay L. Bhansali who is very particular about the actors he casts had his heart set on signing Hrithik Roshan for his new venture. The two had been in talks and sources close to the developments say that the director had even sent Hrithik a copy of the bound script.
"Bhansali and Hrithik have always had cordial relations, and Bhansali has been in talks with him for three-fours years for various projects, but Hrithik is very particular when it comes to matters professional.
After Saawariya, Bhansali and Hrithik have been in talks, Hrithik even went to the director’s house for meetings, and just when everything seemed set, he backed out," says the source.
Hrithik who is at present in Mexico with his father Rakesh Roshan, shooting for his home-production Kites being directed by Anurag Basu, informed Bhansali two days ago that he would be unable to do the film. The reasons for declining the film are not known.
Both Hrithik and Bhansali remained unavailable for comment, but there is speculation about the future of the project. Remember how Bhansali who had set his heart on casting Ash and Salman had canned Bajirao Mastani because he couldn't get them to act together again?

Hrithik is crazy for declining Bhansali’s movie. He is too scared to take risk. He wants to play too safe. I think his own fears are his own demons. I think his own unavailability in movies will reduce his star power on the long run. He hasn’t reached a stage in par with Dilip Kumar or Amir Khan to do two movies in three years. He needs to do more movies before he does this.

I agreed hundred percent with what Mr. Rajeev said
he (HR)can’t be sure hundred percent that the few moveis he is doing will be hit at the box office. besides i think people will not remember him if they don’t see him every so often. he should be that icon whose appearance , no matter what the movie is all about ,will bring the audience.
unless… HOLLYWOOD ;}

I think Hrithik is afraid to choose movies, that is why he has so few movies. Its only his dads movies that he really focusses.. This is the age when he will get offers to do all kinds of movies. Five years from now he will be fourty. That will be the end. If he doesn’t do now then when will he? Just doing dad’s movie does not reflect his intelligence nor his creativity. it just shows his lack of judgement or lack of intelligence in selecting movies. He is a good actor and a great star but you
need boldness. Just taking risks in dad’s movies is no risk, its his dad who is taking the risk either be it in Kriss or Kohi Mil Gaya. hrithik was just following his dad. If this continue I think hrithik’s stardom wane slowly before he realizes that its
too late when he is already forty. Hrithik Man! don’t be scared to choose movies. You are at a stage where you can do anything and you have only five years before you turn forty. Experiment my friend experiment with others and let your creativity flow out. Focusing only in dad’s movies will not enhance your creativity.
