Hollywood wants Hrithik Roshan

Even though months remain for his next film Kites to hit the theatres, Hrithik Roshan has already caught the eye of many producers in Hollywood.The Roshans, as we all know, are gearing up to release two versions of ‘Kites’ - one, a shorter one, for the global audience, and the other, the longer one, for Indians.

Apparently, Hrithik’s sizzling chemistry with Mexican hottie Barbara Mori has come to the notice of filmmakers on the other side of the Atlantic and they’ve been sending feelers to Hrithik for a film in the near future.

We hear the Hollywood producers are keen to have Hrithik in a romantic comedy because he has the looks that could appeal to the audience in the west like it does in the east.

When asked, Hrithik’s dad Rakesh Roshan plays it safe by not spilling out the beans before any deal is formally sealed. However, Hrithik’s spokesperson did confirm that the actor has been getting a lot of feelers from Hollywood.

Well, time to make some dhoom in the west as well.

As promised guys, Hrithik Roshan has joined Twitter. Yes, you heard it right, he is now officially on Twitter. He writes "Spread humanity with a vengeance, GO WATCH MY NAME IS KHAN. ..and for the record, my name is HRITHIK ROSHAN." And for the record...my name is Hrithik Roshan, what a classy way to conclude. Make sure to follow him @iHrithik.

"Spread humanity with a vengeance, go watch My Name Is Khan...and for the record, my name is Hrithik Roshan," he posted as his first Tweet.

Hrithik received a warm welcome from his close friends, filmmaker Karan Johar as well as actors Abhishek Bachchan and Genelia D'Souza on the social networking site.

"One of my closest friends and one of the finest actors I know is here! Hrithik Roshan...give him love Tweeple!" posted Johar, whose controversial film My Name Is Khan is finally releasing on Friday.

Abhishek said: "Please welcome my dear friend to the chaos!"

And Genelia welcomed him saying, "Twitterverse".

The 36-year-old is awaiting the release of his much-hyped film Kites, which is being co-produced by his father Rakesh Roshan's Filmkfraft and Reliance BIG Cinemas. It is set to hit screens May 21.

Hrithik learns magic tricks

Hrithik Roshan is arguably going to be the first Hindi movie star to learn magic tricks. And the man prodding the hazel-eyed star to do so is none other than director Sanjay Leela Bhansali.We hear Hrithik plays a magician in Bhansali’s in-the-making Guzaarish. And since both the actor and the director are sticklers for details, Hrithik is actually going to learn a few magic tricks from a Ukrainian magician who has been roped in for the project.

Reports say Bhansali wanted a magician who could devote ample time to train Hrithik for the role. After much research, the Ukrainian was finalized. He’s already been once in Mumbai and has taught a few tricks to Hrithik, which the star has practiced well. Now Hrithik amuses his kids with those tricks.

But Hrithik’s real training is yet to start. The Ukrainian magician will reportedly arrive again in Mumbai in Feb and teach Hrithik many tricks.

Once the actor has mastered the sleight of hand, he will face the camera for the remaining portions of ‘Guzaarish’.

First off..Happy Birthday Duggu!!! Now back to the main news. Hold your breaths because Hrithik Roshan is about to land on the net social circuit. Yes, you heard it right, if the grapevine is to be believed, he will be officially joining social-networking site Twitter very soon.

People from all walks of life are active with these social-networking sites. Be it common junta, or celebrities or politicians. Facebook, Myspace, Twitter being the bigwigs of the industry. Indian celebs like Amitabh, Salaman Khan, Aamir Khan and even Shahrukh Khan either are a member of Twitter or having their own blogs.

Further, Duggu being the exclusive that he is, is yet to join any of these sites. Imagine the successful impact it will have on Twitter. Not only that, but it will surely be one of the biggest gifts he will give to his fans in the year two thousand and ten! Kites and Guzzarish being the other two.

Kites release date moved to summer 2010!

Hrithik Roshan fans will have to wait a little longer to catch a glimpse of their favorite star on the big screen. The release date of the much-awaited ‘Kites’ starring Hrithik opposite International actress Barbra Mori has been moved even further from the original Jan 10, 2010 release to a summer 2010 release.

Sources claim that the international distributors, Big Pictures, have asked Rakesh Roshan to delay the release of the film. Furthermore, Big Pictures did not believe that the film, which is a mega international joint-venture, would have sufficient time for promotions if the film was to release in Jan. Kites will be extensively promoted at the various film festivals around the world next year, one noted one, the Buenos Aires International Festival.
